Available in New Stock and Blueprinted Race Prep configurations across the Vortex ROK lineup — from Mini ROK to ROK Shifter.

This is a performance-first program for drivers and programs that prioritize results, reliability, and expert support over entry-level price points.

Engine Notes

ROK Mini

The ROK Mini is dedicated to young drivers entering competition. Designed to be safe and approachable, it allows drivers to build confidence and develop technique without unnecessary complexity — while still delivering genuine competitive performance.

ROK VLR

The VLR is engineered around three core principles: reliability, ease of operation, and low maintenance cost. Designed for straightforward inspection and servicing, it is an ideal platform for programs focused on consistent, cost-effective competition.

ROK GP — Limited Availability

The ROK GP has been replaced by the new ROK SV. This is your last opportunity to purchase one of the most proven engines in karting history. The ROK GP Junior immediately established itself on the world stage for its spirited performance, practical structure, and high reliability — engineered to deliver competitive output while maintaining durability across a full season.

ROK Shifter

The ROK Shifter was developed for drivers who want to compete in a gearbox category without sacrificing the core ROK philosophy: stable regulations and controlled costs over time. At 43 HP and 125cc, it delivers serious performance in a platform built for long-term competitive viability.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Stock and MR17 Blueprinted?

Stock engines are factory-fresh and ready to race within class specifications. MR17 blueprinting involves detailed hand-finishing, dyno calibration, and tuning to maximize performance within class rules.

Are all Blueprinted engines dyno tested?

Yes. Every MR17 Blueprinted engine is dyno-tested and ships with a dyno sheet showing horsepower and torque output.

What does a Used engine include?

Used engines include the engine and carburetor only. Bore size is 3–4 sizes from maximum legal bore — these are engines at the top of their performance life, suited for programs running them as dedicated race engines.

How does the 10% rebuild discount work?

All new engine purchases — Stock or Blueprinted — qualify for a 10% discount on future rebuilds. The discount is registered to your engine serial number and applies to all rebuilds serviced through DRIVEN.

Are these engines legal for SKUSA, USPKS, and STARS?

All Vortex ROK engines listed are prepared to meet the specifications of SKUSA, USPKS, STARS, and most major karting series. Always verify against your current series rulebook for any updates.

Is trackside support available?

MR17 trackside support is available at select national and regional events. Confirm availability for your event at checkout or contact us directly.
